Training Objectives

In this ten-hour workshop, participants will learn how to use DBT theory and practice in the context of family-based treatment. Using lecture, case examples, small group exercises and role plays, participants will have the opportunity to practice and observe DBT treatment strategies for those diagnosed with an eating disorder.  This workshop is geared towards DBT therapists who would like to learn specifically how to treat an adolescent eating disorder in the context of their DBT treatment.   â€‹

Required Materials:  

This course will have weekly readings from:

  1. Lock & LeGrange (2013) Treatment Manual for Anorexia Nervosa (second edition) 

  2. Le Grange & Lock (2007) Treating Bulimia in Adolescents 

  3. LeGrange & Lock (2011) Eating Disorders in Children and Adolescents
