Sarah Keir, LCSW

Sarah Keir, MSW, LSW: Sarah Keir is a Licensed Social Worker with experience working with adolescents and families that struggle with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Sarah has experience working with a wide range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance use disorders, anger management, and social skills deficits.  Sarah uses an integrative, evidence-based approach to therapy, with an emphasis on utilizing DBT and CBT, as well incorporating a large component of mindfulness practice. Sarah utilizes an individualistic approach, recognizing that each individual responds to treatment in their own way, allowing for each individuals strengths to be focused on.

Sarah received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey, with minors in Substance Use Disorders and Women and Genders Studies. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, Sarah worked with at-risk adolescents on developing social and emotional skills. She also worked with adults with substance use disorders. Sarah went on to receive her Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, with a certificate in Violence Against Women and Children. Sarah gained additional experience working with adolescents and families through interning at a therapeutic high school and a high level of care program.
