Matt Choquette has a masters in psychology and a doctorate from the clinical track of the organizational psychology program at Rutgers’ Graduate School of Applied & Professional Psychology.  In addition to general counseling and therapy, he specializes in sports and performance cases. Dr. Choquette has worked with clients in many different settings: community clinics, private practices, and a university counseling center providing evidence-based therapies.  He has provided assessment and interventions in performance psychology for teams and individuals in sports and business and has studied the impact of mindfulness on sports-related concussion recovery and mental health. Matt takes a flexible and personalized approach to therapy, combining ideas from different areas of psychology.  He provides cognitive behavioral therapy with a sensitivity to cultural differences and how various systems affect people’s experiences. His goal is to meet clients where they are and help them in a way that fits their unique situations.
