Dr. Ashley Allshouse

Ashley Allshouse, Psy.D. is a New Jersey certified and nationally certified school psychologist currently working at the middle school and high school levels. Dr. Allshouse has experience working with children and adolescents with a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges, including: anxiety, depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, social skill and executive functioning skill deficits, learning disabilities, and school-related difficulties. Dr. Allshouse focuses on using cognitive behavioral and behavioral approaches to develop effective, meaningful, and targeted interventions. As a school psychologist, Dr. Allshouse views herself as an advocate for children and adolescents, has a deep understanding of the many systems that impact children’s daily lives, andis experienced in collaborating with families, teachers and administrators, and other relevant stakeholders to promote children’s social and emotional health.

Dr. Allshouse graduated magna cum laude from Drew University with a BA in psychology and sociology. She received her masters and doctorate degrees in School Psychology from Rutgers University, where she also completed a certificate program in Applied Behavior Analysis. While earning her doctorate, Dr. Allshouse worked with a behavioral training and consultation program to provide positive behavioral supports,social skills groups, and teacher trainingin public school districts, with a focus in elementary and middle schools. She completed a practicum year and her pre-doctoral internship at the Teen Center, a school-based mental health center in Middlesex County, New Jersey.
