Many children, teens, and young adults experience periods when anxiety, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty with focus begin to interfere with daily life. These challenges can affect school or work performance, relationships, motivation, and confidence, often leaving individuals—and sometimes their families—feeling stuck or unsure how to move forward.

I provide therapy for elementary-age children, preteens, teens, and young adults navigating life’s challenges. My goal is to help clients better understand their thoughts and emotions while building practical skills to manage anxiety, improve focus and motivation, strengthen confidence, and handle challenges more effectively.

A central part of therapy is creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and able to talk openly about what they’re experiencing. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs and work together with them to develop strategies that support growth both inside and outside of sessions.

In addition to my years of experience working in the mental health field with children, adolescents, and adults, I have more than ten years of experience supporting children and families with academic, social, and school-related challenges through my previous work as a teacher. This background allows me to understand how emotional well-being, learning, and social development often intersect.

In therapy, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and a strengths-based approach to help clients build coping skills, develop confidence, and navigate challenges more effectively. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, emotional regulation difficulties, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, social concerns, self-esteem struggles, motivation difficulties, and life transitions.

When working with children and adolescents, collaboration with parents is an important part of the process. I typically begin with a parent session to better understand your concerns and goals, and throughout therapy, I offer guidance and strategies to help support progress outside of sessions as well.

If you’re considering therapy for yourself or your child, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we may be a good fit.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have two young, very active children who keep life busy and remind me daily that real life is often messy, loud, and full of energy. When I’m not chasing after them, you’ll likely find me squeezing in a Peloton workout, reading a (light and corny) fiction novel, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
