Dr. Lyndsi Silberman Bodtmann

Director of School-Based Services

Lyndsi Silberman Bodtmann, Psy.D, the Director of School-Based Services is licensed to practice psychology in the state of New Jersey and was also a certified school psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who specializes in using cognitive behavior and behavioral approaches to treat children and adolescents with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, social skill deficits, and executive functioning deficits. She is experienced in collaborating with both parents and teachers to create pragmatic and effective behavioral treatment plans to address child and adolescent difficulties. Dr. Silberman Bodtmann was intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) at Columbia University, and has experience delivering this treatment to children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with emotion regulation difficulties and personality disorders.


Before working at BCCNJ, Dr. Silberman Bodtmann was a school psychologist. Her experience in working the public school system gives her specific knowledge that allows her to advocate for students’ needs within the education system. Her experience in the schools enables her to have a unique understanding of school related difficulties and the insight to effectively consult with teachers and administrators and promote social-emotional development. She has particular strengths in understanding how to navigate the public schools and make specific recommendations to support students’ needs. Dr. Silberman Bodtmann has a strong background in special education, which also allows her to effectively advocate for students with different learning needs. 

Dr. Silberman Bodtmann graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University with a BA in psychology, sociology, and political science, and received her masters and doctorate in School Psychology from Rutgers University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Haven Program, a school-based mental health center in Middlesex County, New Jersey. She has conducted research in the area of eating disorder prevention in a public school setting. Dr. Silberman Bodtmann continues to have interest in delivery of mental health services within a school setting and supporting students as well as supporting children and adolescents with significant emotional difficulties.
